Hailey Byrde is a visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. She works primarily in analog photography, alongside fibre arts, painting, and printmaking. Her practice explores vernacular architecture, memory, and the stillness of architecture and the photographic image in relation to our ever-changing surroundings.

Through tactile practices—such as quilting, weaving, and hand-printing—she expands and alters photographs to create layered works that engage nostalgia, embodiment, and the emotional residues of place.
